LIzzie Murray

Lizzie Murray – BHSII – NPS SA – BD3* International Trainer – List 2 Dressage Judge

Lizzie has trained horse and ridden in all disciplines, now specialising in Dressage. She competed on the Pony and Young Rider European Championship teams from 1987 to 1991 with 5 diferent horses. She has competed Internaionally at Senior level with at least 9 horses, mainly bred and produced by Catherston Stud. With Catherston Dazzler she was reserve for the Atlanta Olympics and was short listed and long listed for the next two Olympics with Catherston Humbug and Catherston Springsteen.

Lizzie and Catherston Humbug won all 3 small tour classes at Hickstead CDIO as well as many other National and International successes. With Catherston Decipher was National Intermedainre 1 Music Champions as well as success Internationally and Nationally. With Catherston What a Dream was winner of the Wellington Advanced Medium to Music Champiobnship and successful at Small Tour. Catherston Springsteen has had success Nationally winning the 4 year old National Championships as a young horse and progressing throught the grades, winning the Grand Prix to Music at Wellington and winning Internationally in Zwolle. Lizzie hopes to continue competing with him this season.

Lizzei has been much in demand as a trainer of horses and riders in their Dressage also helping many event riders at all levels, including winners at Badminton and Burghley. She is Dressage Coach to the Eventing Equine Pathway and National Squad, and has been involved with some part of the training of at least 4 of the horses at the World Equestrian Games.

Lizzie is available for lessons at all levels at the Stud and also for clinics, training and schooling.
